Computer recycling and data destruction

Collection and recycling is free for most computers, laptops, monitors and similar equipment — working or not. When a repair isn’t worth it, or a machine’s simply being replaced, the old device can be collected at no charge as part of the same visit, no separate booking needed. Any storage device is securely wiped or destroyed before anything is reused or recycled, so data never leaves in a recoverable state.

Working equipment is re-housed with Townsville not-for-profits and community groups where possible, ahead of recycling, so a still-useful machine doesn’t go to waste. Non-working equipment, including gear with failed drives, is still accepted free of charge. A small number of items — such as older CRT monitors or units with hazardous components — need special disposal, and any cost for those is confirmed with you before anything happens.

This service is run through Suburban Australia’s established recycling initiative (the same ABN, same local business), which has been quietly operating in Townsville for years. If you need a formal Certificate of Secure Erasure for your records, that’s available there for a low flat rate per device.
