Refund Policy
Last updated 1 August 2026
This policy covers refurbished and secondhand computers, laptops and related equipment bought through our secondhand stock listings. Repair work carried out on your own device is covered separately by our Terms and Conditions.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Every item comes with guarantees that can’t be excluded, including that it is of acceptable quality, fit for the disclosed purpose, and matches its description — regardless of its age, price or secondhand condition.
Where an item fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you’re entitled to a repair, replacement or refund, at our reasonable discretion where the Australian Consumer Law allows a choice.
Before You Buy
Each item’s condition, specifications and any known faults are disclosed on its listing before you commit to buying it. Secondhand and refurbished equipment may show reasonable signs of prior use — anything beyond normal wear is called out specifically in the listing rather than left for you to discover afterwards.
You’re welcome to ask questions or arrange to look at an item before paying — use the enquiry form on the listing.
Dead-On-Arrival And Undisclosed Faults
If an item doesn’t turn on, or has a fault that wasn’t disclosed in its listing, get in touch within 7 days of pickup or delivery and we’ll repair, replace or refund it — our choice, consistent with the Australian Consumer Law.
Please contact us before attempting your own repair or taking the item to a third party — doing so first can affect what we’re able to offer.
Change Of Mind
Each item is a one-off, not stock we can restock or resell as new, so change-of-mind returns aren’t offered as standard. If you’d like this arrangement for a specific item, ask before you buy — it’s offered at our discretion, separately from your Australian Consumer Law rights above.
How A Refund Is Paid
Payment for secondhand stock is taken by EFT or in person rather than by card or an online payment processor. Refunds are paid back the same way — by bank transfer to the account the payment came from, or in cash on return, whichever is practical.
Returning An Item
Where a return is agreed, the item needs to come back complete with everything it was sold with (charger, accessories, etc.) and in the condition it was sold in, aside from the fault it’s being returned for. Drop-off or collection can usually be arranged the same way pickup or delivery was arranged for the sale — get in touch to sort out the details.
Please back up and remove any personal data you’ve added to the device before it’s returned — we’re not responsible for data left on a returned device.
Contact
Questions about a specific item or an existing purchase can be sent through the contact form, the enquiry form on the item’s listing, or to [email protected].
