What actually happens when you book a repair with us
2026-07-06
Booking a service call is the easy part — pick a time online and we’ll confirm the details. What matters more is what happens next, so here’s the honest version rather than the marketing version.
Every device is assessed first, and you get a real quote before any paid work starts — not an estimate that quietly grows once we’re already inside the machine. If the quote doesn’t work for you, you’re free to say no at that point; the only thing that might apply is an already-agreed diagnostic fee, and we’ll always tell you upfront if one applies.
On your device itself, we only access what’s genuinely needed to diagnose and fix the reported fault. We’re not browsing personal files, photos or accounts out of curiosity. If a repair involves data recovery, a drive swap or a full reinstall, we’ll talk through what that means for your data and your backup options before touching anything — and it’s worth backing up anything irreplaceable yourself beforehand, where that’s practical.
Once it’s fixed, we let you know straight away. If life gets busy and a device sits with us a little longer than expected, we’ll reach out first rather than let it become an issue.
It’s a fairly ordinary process, honestly — which is rather the point.
